The workshop will focus on sustainable development issues and compare the problems, experiences and policies of China and European countries. A non-limitative list of topics, which can be investigated, is: - Global warming and air pollution. - Fertility, changes in family configuration, gender...

The conference will favour theoretical contributions, but also welcomes original applied studies showing explicit links with the analysis of sustainable development. All geographical areas are eligible: North and south, urban and rural, coastal and maritime, are all considered.
