Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts for the sessions of contributed papers in theoretical and applied research in economics and in econometrics.

The program will consist of contributed and invited papers. This conference is being held in conjunction with the ASSA 2013 Annual Meeting.

The 2012 LACEA and LAMES meetings will share a common program, under a single local organization. By registering for LACEA-LAMES 2012, participants will be welcome to attend to all sessions of both meetings.

Each author may submit only one paper to the ESEM and only one paper to the EEA Congress. The same paper cannot be submitted to both ESEM and the EEA Congress.

The conference will cover various fields of economics: applied econometrics, economic modeling, quantitative and non-quantitative economic analysis, and a large range of related topics. Emphasis will be on the relevancy of policy modeling in an uncertain world, with specific applications to Africa.

The program will consist of keynote speakers, invited speakers and contributed papers on a wide range of topics including: theoretical and applied econometrics, microeconomics, and macroeconomics.
