Automotive industry in Pakistan, a decade ago was the one of the fastest growing industries of the country, accounting for 4 percent of Pakistan’s GDP and employing a workforce of over 1,800,000 people. The sector, as a whole, provided employment to 3.5 million people and also played a pivotal role in promoting the growth of the vendor industry in 2018.This growth occurred, as the use of vehicles has increased significantly with the increasing population, improved infrastructure along with the increased mobility of people from one place to another for jobs, improved living standard, and ease of doing business, and easy entry for the foreign players.To further assess the real position of Hinopak motors, we have undertaken research by questioning the customers and also looking all secondary materials such as industry magazine, news, and websites. Generally, the research we have undertaken, may be accurate or may not be 100% accurate, but we have understood industry in depth. To determine the competitive position, in the market of Hinopak Motors, we also created Strategic Group Mapping utilizing the both primary and secondary data that we have gathered.The aim of this exercise is to highlights the critical strengths and weaknesses of the Hinopak, animate the positioning of the company in its industry, clarify the areas where strategic changes may yield the greatest payoff, and highlight the places where industry trends promise to hold the greatest significance as either opportunities or threats. Further, we determine the competitive variable of Hinopak motors and its rivals in the commercial vehicle sector. Here, we first analyse the heavy truck industry of Pakistan. In heavy trucks industry, players are Hinopak Motors, Ghandara motors, Isuzu, Master, and Volvo. First, the heavy commercial vehicle industry includes the following plyers while developing Strategic Group Maps, we include competitors such as Ghandara Nissan, Volvo, Master, Hinopak Motors and, Isuzu. Variable we have selected based on the research of variable that influence positioning and these are price and brand-width and related these to find efficiency and perception
