On 1 April 2025, the Commission adopted a Communication entitled "A modernised Cohesion policy: The mid-term review" accompanied by two legislative proposals in respect of the cohesion policy funds regulations for the 2021-2027 programming period: - a proposal to amend Regulations (EU) 2021/1056 and 2021/1058 concerning the Just Transition Fund (JTF) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)/ Cohesion Fund (CF) and; - a proposal to amend Regulation (EU) 2021/1057 concerning the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
