63. Zero-knowledge proof

The balance of transparency using blockchain technology and the need for confidentiality raises significant challenges for a system. A combination of technologies, such as zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) and blockchain, provides the capabilities to strengthen future digital transformation against malicious actors and the increasing threats of sensitive information leakage. ZKP has become an increasingly valuable application within blockchain systems to enhance privacy, scalability, and security to guarantee that transaction data and execution are not forged or deleted by malicious actors within and among systems. However, applying and creating ZKP claims is still computationally heavy and technically challenging to implement and might not fit all situations, for example, when the claim is a shared state among multiple actors or agents.
