A Re-Assessment of Nigeria’s Government Organizations as An Approach to Mitigating Conflicts Nationwide

Conflict is one concept that inevitably finds its way to co-exist amongst human society because every man needs another to get by and in the process of communication and building relationships, conflicts often arise, owing to the fact that as there are different interests, motivations, choices and preferences.Conflict Resolution as a concept requires tactics and right intellectual skills to combat them and proffer lasting solutions. However, within a nation with as large and diverse population as Nigeria, numerous existing conflicts of various types equally require a range of solutions and approaches, including the cooperation, involvement and a review of government organizations as an advantage to national Peacebuilding.This publication gives an insight to how Government Organizations and Institutions within Nigeria can be a vehicle for Conflict Resolution within the nation.The scope of this study covers government organizations and non-governmental organizations in Nigeria, and draws the attention of academia to critically look into them and how to proffer solutions to the numerous issues, including corruption, within Nigerian Government Organizations without necessarily singling out or isolating any particular organization in specific.This Paper also seeks to reveal faults existent within the structures of government in Nigeria and how reviewing them can result in fostering peace and serenity within the nation. The success of this study will be achieved through examination of materials gathered from internet and academic journals. The study is analytical and descriptive and will provide academic recommendations to Nigerian Governmental organizations in general
