An inventory of standards, processes, and ICT systems across higher education (mapping report) : European higher education interoperability framework

The mapping report presents an inventory of standards and solutions currently being used by European University alliances to make interoperable virtual (inter-institutional) European campuses reality. The report is a key component of the European Higher Education Interoperability Framework developed under the European Digital Education Hub and provides insights into aspects of the technical landscape of European University alliances aimed at technical experts in higher education institutions. The high-level flows and architecture diagrams are based on input from over 40 European University alliances and experts from the higher education interoperability working group. The report breaks down the standards and tools used by use case and specifies the capability requirements of the solutions implemented. It identifies critical gaps and calls for strategic responses to improve system compatibility and operational efficiency.
