Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Permintaan Dan Penawaran Daging Sapi Di Sumatera Utara
The purpose of this study is to describe the picture of beef cattle ranch in North Sumatra as the production of meat, outlines the factors that influence the demand for beef, outlines the factors that affect the supply of beef, explaining the price elasticity of demand, explaining the income elasticity of demand, explaining cross elasticity between chicken meat with beef, and explain the price elasticity of supply. The experiment was conducted in April 2011, the research methods used are surveys. The data used are the primary data obtained from the breeder, and secondary data from 2001 to 2010 obtained from government agencies. Calculation method used is a Multiple Linear Regression (multiple regression) to 7 (seven) variables. SPSS.18 program for Windows (SPSS = Statistical Product and Service Solution) is used to process this research using descriptive analysis, Multiple Linear Regression analysis and analysis of Elasticity. The results of this study concluded that beef cattle breeding business in North Sumatra during the period 2001 to 2010 is still dominated by the farm folk, with a maintenance system which is simple and traditional (extensive). Beef demand is strongly influenced by the population factor, the factor price of meat, per capita income factor, factor prices and factor prices of chicken eggs. Price of eggs is the biggest factor affecting the demand for beef, while income per capita is the smallest factor effect. Offers beef is influenced by factors of the number of imported cattle, beef prices factor, factor in the insemination of cattle, beef price factors, factors and factor the number of imported beef cattle population. The number of imported cattle is the biggest factor affecting the amount of supply of beef, live cattle prices while the smallest is a factor of influence. Elastisistas price of beef demand is very elastic (highly responsive). Income elasticity of demand for beef is inelastic (less responsive). Cross elasticity between chicken meat with beef is the substitution (replacement). The price elasticity of beef supply is Inelastic (unresponsive).
