Anatomy of the credit crisis - An insurance reader from The Geneva Association

This Geneva Association “insurance reader on the credit crisis” has been put togetheras a reaction to the widespread demand for reliable information on and an intellectualappreciation of the insurance sector’s involvement in the credit crisis. Since the end of2007, The Geneva Association has been working on this issue rigorously, putting a seriesof special working groups together that have been analysing specific aspects of the crisiswith great dedication. As the international banking system and with it large parts of thefinancial sector developed pathological characteristics that required the equivalent ofmedical intensive care, we enticed and sponsored both internal and external researchand analysis on the subject from an insurance perspective.
