Annual report on EU agencies for the financial year 2023

This report presents the results of our annual audit of the EU agencies and other EU bodies (collectively referred to as 'the agencies') for the 2023 financial year. For simplification, we refer to the agencies using their acronyms instead of their full names. A list of all agencies and their acronyms is provided at the beginning of the report. The report is structured as follows: Chapter 1 describes the agencies and the nature of our annual audits. Chapter 2 presents the overall results of our audit and provides an overview and analysis of the financing models of EU agencies which collect own revenue. It also makes reference to our other agency-related audit results and opinions. Chapter 3 contains a statement of assurance for each of the 43 agencies, together with our opinions and observations on the reliability of the agencies' accounts and on the legality and regularity of the underlying revenue and payments, as well as matters and observations that do not call these opinions into question.
