Axis Telecom (Netherlands) : case study

AxisTelecom is a Dutch supplier of covers and other accessories for almost all smartphones and tablets, operating since 2006. Axis Telecom was working on expanding its operations within the European Union by developing and improving its digital platform. They were in contact with Indian web and software developers to develop and launch their digital platform. Given this context, the account manager of Axis Telecom contacted the India IP SME Helpdesk to discuss: ● firstly, the nature of risks involved in outsourcing their digital platform development to Indian web-developers. ● secondly, about the forms of Intellectual Property protection to protect their intangible assets. ● thirdly, they wanted to know about the steps to take and the risks involved before sharing their operational details and other such know-how with Indian software and web developers.
