Behavioural Economics and Korean Food Consumption: Health Environment Sensitivity, Nutrition Application, Cost Saving, and Convenience Practices.
This study surveyed 568 young adults aged 18 to 22 in Karnataka, India, using an online questionnaire to explore food consumption patterns and socio-economic factors. Data collected from January to March 2024 covered demographics, food habits, and purchasing behaviors, analyzed through Furnham and Forey's framework and a questionnaire adapted from Nevin Sanlier and Suzan Seren Karakus. Results reveal significant links between food consumption, health environment sensitivity, nutrition application, cost saving, and convivial practices, with food consumption notably predicting health environment sensitivity and nutrition application while also influencing cost saving and convivial practices.
