Blockchain and Performance : A Literature Review in Business and Management Fields

During recent years, the blockchain technology has been widely studied and analysed in different domains. This research explores the application and discusses the importance of this innovative technology in four different sectors: Financial, industrial, healthcare and supply chain. Based on real world applications extracted from different databases like webpages, interviews and annual reports, the result of this chapter indicates that the employment of blockchain technology in business activities can enhance the managerial, operational, financial and commercial performance. In addition, the result shows that the employment of this new technology in financial sector can decrease the risk of money laundering
