REPORT OP THE UNIVERSITY OP NEVADA 49both of the Honorary Board of Visitors and of the State Auditor, thedetailed report of the Comptroller, all covering the work of the pastbiennium of 1919-1920, and the detailed budget estimates of statefunds needed bj' the University during the biennium beginningJanuary 1, 1921, follow this report.The last-named tables give the estimates in detail of the sums neededfrom the State, during the biennium beginning January 1, 1921, tosupplement federal land-grant funds and current federal funds. Theseestimates are given under two heads: (1) Estimates for general anddepartmental needs, not including contingent needs for changes instaff and in salaries, which cannot be accurately estimated and whichmust be covered by miscellaneous receipts and balances. The estimatesfor general and departmental needs must be covered by the 8-centuniversity tax levy, supplemented by miscellaneous receipts andbalances. (2) Estimates covering operating costs of the public-servicedivisions, improvements in buildings, furnishings and equipment ofbuildings and departments, and improvements and partial operatingcosts of the University Farm.
