Summarizes initial findings from an ongoing five-year evaluation of Ready To Learn, a public broadcasting initiative to help enhance children's readiness for school. Notes that Ready To Learn's outreach to the community is diverse and conducted by experienced professionals. Also suggests that more cross-station communications as well as more coordination and leadership at the national level may help strengthen the program further.
