Bookings by members of the Large Industrial Plant Manufacturer´s Group (AGAB) at the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) set a new record in 2006 for the second straight year. This paper highlights the underlying developments in the sale of new plants, putting special emphasis on the regional and industrial particularities and closes with an outlook for 2007 and 2008.
