Civil society monitoring report on the implementation of the national strategic framework for Roma equality, inclusion, and participation in Slovakia

The report examines the implementation of the National Roma Strategic Framework (NRSF) in the period 2022-2024, highlighting notable shortcomings in its execution. Although monitoring processes exhibit some strengths, there are areas that require improvement, such as implementation quality, inclusiveness, and the authorities' grasp of the NRSF's complexity. A key issue is that the NRSF does not target the majority population; in consequence, measures fail to address prejudices and racism against Roma. This undermines efforts aimed at Roma inclusion. The report emphasises the urgent need for systemic enhancements to achieve effective, sustainable, and broadly supported Roma inclusion.
