Commitments made by Costas Kadis Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans

The Commissionerdesignate made a number of commitments in his written and oral responses. These are highlighted in this document, which has been produced to support Parliament's scrutiny of the Commission over the course of the 2024-2029 term, including through the Committees' annual structured dialogue with the Commission. The Commissioner-designate's commitments refer to his portfolio, as described in the mission letter sent to him by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and concern: A competitive and sustainable fisheries sector; A new European Oceans Pact; and A strategic approach for an EU Ocean diplomacy.
