Competition in interorganizational networks. public management perspective

Interest in interorganizational networks has been growing recently among researchers and practictioners. Collective actions taken by different organizations to meet common goals can be observed among organizations offering public services. Despite the progress in network research the knowledge we have is still insufficient to understand how they work. Assumption of cooperation has been made about these relations, while competition has been disregarded very often. Additionally research relate mostly to interorganizational level while comprehensive view of networks imply considering also its entities and individuals. This article presents results of empirical multi-level research on competition in interorganizational networks.The results show relationship between strategic perspective of decision-makers and strategy at the interorganizational level.
