Compilation of existing guidance on ecosystem restoration : reference document for EU Member States to inform the development of national restoration plans

By mid-2026, all EU Member States (MS) will have to prepare through an open, transparent and inclusive process, National Restoration Plans (NRPs) that detail how new binding nature restoration targets agreed in the EU Nature Restoration Law (NRL) will be achieved on their territory. This document compiles useful sources for MS to inform nature restoration planning. It aims to support MS in the contextualization, design and planning of nature restoration measures in their NRPs and includes links to established: Guidelines and standards, Key platforms and networks, Databases.
