Comprehensive analysis of the existing cross-border rail transport connections and missing links on the internal EU borders : annex 5 : infrastructure fact-sheets

Based on satellite imagery, an analysis of the state of the infrastructure on each route in the shortlist of missing railway links with sufficient passenger demand potential can be carried out. The historic route largely determines the preferred alignment of a route. Where the historic alignment has been redeveloped new routes can be examined, if possible following the alignments of other transport infrastructure.
