Conceptual Design of Project Portfolio Management Using Business Intelligence Tools for Small and Medium Enterprises

Even though modern business intelligence (BI) tools can be very beneficial for project management (PM) to ensure strategic decision-making on projects, their usage is spreading very slowly. Considering the limited sources of SMEs, which have a majority representation in the EU, the usage of these tools gains more importance. For this purpose, after a survey analysis for understanding the status of SMEs, a conceptual model of PM using BI tools is developed to track parameters used by project management offices.
