Creative Europe's support to the book sector : special focus on youth 2021-2024
The following publication presents the Creative Europe's support to the book and publishing sector with a specific focus on projects working on the theme of youth that were selected and funded between 2021 and 2024. This publication highlights the diversity of projects with youth-oriented literary works, including children's literature, young adult literature, comics, and other genres, showing the richness of European literature for young audiences. Besides the showcase of projects targeting young audience, this publication also features projects that support young authors, translators, illustrators, and other young professionals in the book and publishing sector. These projects are a testimony to the importance of investing in the next generation of readers, authors, translators, illustrators, and cultural professionals. The variety of support is highlighted through the different chapters that stand for the key themes of the projects. The first chapter is dedicated to promoting youth literature, featuring projects that engage young audiences and make diverse narratives accessible to young readers. Projects with a special focus on nurturing young authors, illustrators, and translators, providing opportunities for them to showcase their work and connect with audiences, are presented in the second chapter.
