Cultural Policies in the EU Member States

The aim of the study is to provide information about cultural policy in the various EU Member States. As very little comparative up-to-date information was available, a questionnaire was sent to all Ministries of Culture in the EU Member States. To complete the picture, one artist or leading figure in the arts from each EU Member State was asked to write an essay on his/her personal reflections on 'European Culture in the 21st Century'.
