Development of an Instrument for Assessing the Impact of Environmental Context on Adoption of Cloud Computing for Small and Medium Enterprises

Now days cloud computing is one of the most important technologies in Information Technology (IT) world. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with low budget and human resources are one of the major groups that tend to use cloud computing for achieving the benefit of this technology. In this case, many factors affect on adoption of cloud computing for SMEs and environmental factors are play important role in this area. Objective: The aim of this research was to develop the model base on environmental context in adoption of cloud computing for SMEs. Results: A questionnaire was given to a number of experts of IT department of their SMEs, which presents the actual sample of this study. The data were analyzed through Partial Least Square (PLS). Conclusion: In this study, all measurements have an acceptable value. We found adequate internal consistency between items in the questionnaire. Based on the result obtained in the study, the overall results strongly confirm the reliability and validity of the questionnaire
