Disability discrimination - Murphy v Sheffield Hallam University - The test of causation in s.5 (1) (a) of the DDA, which is essentially the same as for direct race and sex discrimination, is whether or not the disabled person's disability was an effective cause of Ms or her less favourable treatment, holds the EAT.
