Does School Matter? an Application of a Two-Way Nested-Error Component Model

School Effectiveness Is a Perennial Question in the Literature of the Economics of Education. in This Paper, We Used a Two-Way Nested-Error Component Educational Production Function Model to Evaluate the Student School Achievement. As for Observable Factors, the Empirical Results Suggest That Latent Class and School Factors Are Negligible with Respect to Latent Personal and Socio-Economic Factors.
