A economia monetária e regional da alta inflação: um estudo sobre o acesso à moeda indexada no Sul, Sudeste e Nordeste [Monetary and regional economics in a high inflationary regime: a study of access to indexed assets in the Southern, Southeastern, and Northeastern Regions]

The purpose of this article is to show that access to indexed assets during the high inflation regime (1990-1993) was not evenly distributed among different states in Brazil. An index was elaborated to measure the access to indexed assets and the author concluded that some states had a lower capacity to defend themselves against the inflationary process as compared to other states.
