European cluster collaboration platform : the premier hub for European industry clusters

Clusters are groups of specialised enterprises - often SMEs - and supporting actors, such as public authorities, universities, technology centres, vocational and training institutions, and more, which cooperate closely in a particular location. Cluster organisations are legal entities that support clusters, by facilitating networking of firms and sharing facilities. There are over 1500 clusters located in more than 200 EU-27 regions, accounting for almost 25% of total EU employment. They can reduce the transaction costs for firms, especially SMEs, in building linkages to firms and collaboration partners in other locations.
