Ex-post evaluation of the EURO-SOLAR programme : Executive Summary ; The European Union’s DCI - ALA Programme for Latin America
The EURO-SOLAR Programme (Financing Agreement 2006/17-223) was designed in 2006 and implemented in eight Latin American countries as from 2007, focusing its activities in the poorest countries of the subcontinent (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Paraguay). The specific aim was to provide a decentralised, independent infrastructure to supply electrical energy to remote communities, and in this way develop community services using the connectivity tool, so that local organisations improve their conditions in terms of education, healthcare, communication/information and development of social and productive uses.
