Examining the Relation between Civil Society Administrators’ Personality Traits and Leadership Styles
This study investigates the relation between the personality traits and leadership behaviors of civil society administrators in Turkey and various countries worldwide using one of the general survey models, the “relational survey model”. The sample of the study comprises 105 participants, selected from a population of over 800 using the convenience sampling method. Canonical correlation coefficients, eigenvalue, Wilks Lambda, F, degrees of freedom, and significance levels were calculated. F values analyzed using Wilks Lambda values indicated that the model calculated for the first canonical correlation pair was statistically significant. Another important finding of the study is that the participants obtained the highest possible score from the ”agreeableness” and “openness to development” subdimensions of the scale. The findings can be generalized to volunteer workers in nongovernmental organizations in Turkey
