Exchange Rate Volatility Risk on Turkish Textile Export

This paper examines the impact of exchange rate risk on Turkish textile export. Firstly, the background information regarding the history of exchange rate volatility and textile industry in Turkey is explained. Then the elements that create textile sector production and export are elaborated according to their scale of importance for the sector. Moreover, these components are further analyzed considering if they are imported or not or the scale of how they are susceptible to the risk from volatile exchange rates. At the end, the results from the discussion are revealed which suggested that risk of exchange rate volatility has negative impact on Turkish textile export.
