Experimental Study on Heat Transfer Characteristics of Solar Salt and Subcritical Water in the Model of Tube-Shell Heat Exchanger

In order to verify the versatility of the experimental correlations of the previous work, and the same experimental method from the previous work is selected to obtain the heat transfer characteristics of the salt and subcritical water in the model of tube-shell heat exchanger. and it is obtained that two different stages of experimental results by the two different kinds of the experimental methods, and this is the Part II of the research contents by changing the water inlet temperature. The experimental data was firstly gained at the solar salt mass flow rates ranging from 410.5 kg·m-2·s-1 to 493.8 kg·m-2·s-1 and inlet temperature varying from 400 °C to 500 °C, with water mass flow rates ranging from 136.5 kg·m-2·s-1 to 225.7 kg·m-2·s-1 and inlet temperature varying from 200 °C to 450 °C, with heat flux ranging from 20 kW/m2 to 202 kW/m2. The relative contribution of solar salt temperature and flow flux, water flow flux, dryness and pressure and other operating parameters to the heat transfer characteristics of the test piece are analyzed, and the key parameters and secondary parameters are determined. And it revealed that the water pressure and solar salt temperature had a great impact on the both-sides heat transfer coefficients. Finally, this experimental data is compared and analyzed with the experimental data of the previous work to reveal the accuracy and versatility of the experimental correlation of the previous work
