FEATURES - Acid gas re-injection reduces sulphur burden - Acid gas re-injection has the potential to slow down the ever increasing stockpile of world sulphur. Lisa Connock reports on the practice of acid gas re-injection as an alternative to sulphur recovery by the Claus process. A new concept involving the injection of SO2 into a sour reservoir is also presented.
