Finanz- und Wirtschaftspolitik bei einer anhaltenden monetären Expansion
In Reaktion auf die Finanzkrise hat das Eurosystem seine Geldpolitik massiv gelockert. So hat die Europäische Zentralbank (EZB) nicht nur den maßgeblichen Leitzins deutlich gesenkt, sondern auch mit außergewöhnlichen liquiditätspolitischen Maßnahmen den Geschäftsbanken unbegrenzt Liquidität zur Verfügung gestellt und die Anforderungen an notenbankfähige Sicherheiten gelockert. Mit der Verschärfung der Schuldenkrise in einigen Ländern des Euroraums hat sie den Geschäftsbanken zusätzlich Liquidität mit einer Laufzeit von bis zu drei Jahren angeboten, den nationalen Notenbanken eingeräumt, in eigenem Ermessen die Anforderungen für notenbankfähige Sicherheiten festzulegen sowie Staatsanleihen einiger Länder in nennenswertem Umfang erworben. In der Folge erhöhte sich die Geldbasis ungewöhnlich kräftig. [... ]
