Fokker-Planck equation for the description of the thermalization of beams of energetic charged particles channeled through crystal
A Fokker-Planck-type equation is derived in the second order perturbation theory for the density matrix, which describes the time evolution of a single-particle system (proton or ion) weakly interacting with a large system (crystal). This equation is suitable for the description of the motion of fast particles channeled through crystals.
