Generation of pair cat states through two-mode degenerate Raman process
We propose a scheme for generating superpositions of two pair coherent states of a two-mode field. In the scheme an atom is sent through a cavity initially in a pair coherent state. The state-selective measurement following the two-mode Raman process projects the two-mode field to a pair cat state.
