Germany and its collaboration with the Joint Research Centre

The JRC has established a strong and productive partnership with Germany in nuclear safety and security, health, consumers and reference materials, energy, transport, climate and sustainable resources. Through this collaboration, the JRC has worked closely with Germany's national authorities, research institutions and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, share expertise, and jointly address common challenges. This partnership has led to the development of innovative solutions and the implementation of impactful projects that have benefitted both parties. Regular visits of German partner organisations and institutions to JRC laboratories take place to explore new areas of cooperations and increase cooperation through knowledge exchange and joint programmes. The country also hosts one of the JRC scientific sites in Karlsruhe, which is the core of the JRC research for Nuclear Safety and Security.
