Go Ahead – Take ADVANTIG!

This article is a short, informative piece regarding a technology implementation simulation tool developed by the Industrial Technology Institute (ITI). The simulation (ADVANTIG) was developed so that manufacturing firms can experience the interpersonal dynamics that take place when a firm is thinking about or actually implementing ew technology. After facilitating the simulation for a number of years, ITI has discovered that not only do manufacturing firms benefit from the simulation but so do others. This is because one of the goals of the simulation is to reveal to the participants the importance of co‐ordination, co‐operation, and communication. This, of course, is transferable to any business.
