Go, Give and Grow draws brightest and best to P&G : Scheme touches a chord with today's young graduates
Purpose – Aims to explain how Procter & Gamble's Go, Give and Grow scheme is helping the company to attract the brightest and best graduates. Design/methodology/approach – Details how the scheme operates and presents the comments of two of the people who are taking part. Findings – Finds that Go, Give and Grow provides new graduates selected for employment P&G with the chance to work for 12 months in a developing country with the World Health Organization (WHO) or Unicef. P&G provides an induction program to help with the transition to living and working in a developing country, covers the costs of return flights, insurance and medical expenses, and pays a local‐rate salary. In return, the graduates have an unrivalled learning experience and opportunity for both personal and professional development. Practical implications – Describes a scheme that appears to have struck a chord with today's young people. Originality/value – Shows that Go, Give and Grow has helped P&G to rise 12 places in the graduate recruitment table in Switzerland.
