Going to the cloud : why it matters for the EU public sector and how to make it work : event report : eu-LISA industry roundtable : 11-12 June, Antwerp, Belgium
The eu-LISA Industry Roundtable 'Going to the cloud: why it matters for the EU public sector and how to make it work' was held in Antwerp, Belgium, and streamed online. The event, organised in collaboration with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, spanned 2 full days from 11 to 12 June 2024. The forum served as an opportunity for stakeholders to engage in the evolving discourse on cloud technologies and their transformative impact on public sector authorities operating in the area of freedom, security and justice across the European Union. The Roundtable was an engaging event, with over 320 attendees from 34 different countries. The main objective of the event was for participants to gain a clearer understanding of the EU's position on cloud technologies, and the advantages and limitations of various cloud services, and to share practical experiences from different public organisations, as well as to provide a common forum for the exchange of ideas among stakeholders and expansion of professional networks.
