Health, Diseases and Related Expenditure in Marwa Village - A Sociological Study in Jharkhand
Health is not just the physical well being of an individual but also the social, emotional and cultural well being of the whole community, in which each individual is able to achieve their full potential as a human being, thereby bringing about the total well being of their community. Disease is a disorder or malfunction of the mind or body, which destroys the standards of good health. The effects of health expenses on consumption patterns might well create or exacerbate poverty and poor health, particularly for low income households. Health expenditures are defined as catastrophic by their reductions of basic capabilities. An analysis of the current healthcare profile of India indicates the gaps and deficiencies in terms of service outreach, available resources, infrastructure and affordability as well as government expenditure, when compared to other developing nations.There are various stumbling blocks that need to be pondered upon while addressing the issue of the diseases and health related expenditures in our rural society. These issues should not be looked down upon and certain measures shall become a mandate in order to improve the medication facilities and to have an access to the expenditure related issues in the rural areas of Jharkhand
