Hospital information systems development in Chinese hospitals: A process model.

The purpose of this dissertation is to study the development process of hospital information systems (HIS) in China's hospitals. The dissertation addressed five research questions: (1) What are the contextual conditions that impact China's hospital information systems (HIS) development? (2) How do HIS develop in China? (3) What is the impetus that drives HIS development? (4) What are the barriers that limit HIS development? (5) What are the results of HIS development?
