Improving Fire Department Productivity: Merging Fire and Emergency Medical Units in New Haven - Using a spatial queuing model, the existing firehouse siting model, and rapid analysis, the authors developed a plan to save the city of New Haven USD 1.4 million and improve emergency medical response time.
