Increase in Prices of Industrial Raw Materials Levels Off

The "Association d'Instituts Européens de Conjoncture Economique" (AIECE) forecasts a slowdown in the rise of industrial raw material prices for 1989, and a reversal for 1990, mostly owing to the decline in non-ferrous metal prices. After a short lag, the turn-around in prices is expected to be passed on to Austrian import prices of industrial raw materials.
