Intelligent Socialism : An Introduction - Universal Values and Future Paradigm of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

This paper puts forward the ideology and social system of the political and economic main body of the community of human destiny in the future smart economic era, called “Intelligent Socialism”. This theory was first established for China, the only remaining true socialist country in the world, as the main object, and aimed at further developing socialism with Chinese characteristics into a socialist theoretical model and institutional paradigm with universal values in the era of smart economy. The paper first reviews the historical evolution of Chinese civilization and Western civilization over the past three thousand years and the socialist movement over the past five hundred years. We recognize that China has been an intelligent civilization since ancient times, while the West is a philosophical civilization. The primary idea of socialism originated from ancient China’s rites of Zhou Dynasty and Confucianism and was practiced in the Qin Dynasty’s centralization of county governance; the ancient and simple socialist ideal also appeared in the ancient Greek idea of "Republic". The near modern world socialist movement was enlightened by European “Utopian socialism”, empowered by the “scientific socialism” of Marx and Engels, broke through in the Soviet model, and achieved remarkable success in Chinese characteristics. However, at present, the world socialist movement is facing huge challenges and difficulties. On this basis, this paper comprehensively integrates humanistic values, the general trend of intelligent social productive forces and productive relations, as well as continuity and path dependence of the historical development of human society, we infer a basic theory and institutional paradigm of Intelligent Socialism. Intelligent Socialism is based on humanistic peace and development values, constructed on a stable unified democratic political system with a constitutional system led by the main party, and operates in a smart economic system and intelligent social atmosphere. It can be foreseen that Intelligent Socialism with China as its main body will be regarded as universal values and emulated by most developing countries in the world and may be learned by developed countries as well.
