Just Transition Platform Conference : 23-25 October 2023 : event report

The eighth edition of the Just Transition Platform (JTP) Conference took place on 23-25 October 2023. Hosted by the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy and the Directorate-General for Energy in co-operation with the European Committee of Regions, the hybrid event brought together over 200 attendees in Brussels and a further 400 online. TThe conference provided a forum for stakeholders from national, local and regional authorities as well as economic and social partners, the wider society and representatives of the European Commission to share strategies and experiences on the just transition process. Among the participants were Mrs Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms and Mrs Themis Christophidou, Director-General of Regional and Urban Policy. The Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Mr Maroš Šefčovič, also opened the conference with a video message. This report provides a short summary of the Conference's sessions, which took place on Tuesday 24 October and Wednesday 25 October 2023.
