Knowledge Management Pyramidal Synergy (KMPS) Model as A Novel Approach to a Post-Modern Sustainable Innovation Strategy
In today's rapidly changing and interconnected world, a sustainable approach to post-modern innovation strategy has become increasingly important. This innovative approach recognizes the crucial role of an innovation ecosystem in driving innovation and entrepreneurship. To understand and analyse the interactions and relationships within an innovation ecosystem, various innovation ecosystem models have been developed, such as the National Innovation Systems (NIS), Regional Innovation System (RIS), Open Innovation, Triple Helix, Innovation Diffusion, and Innovation Network models. However, innovation ecosystems face numerous challenges that hinder their ability to effectively support the development and commercialization of new ideas and technologies. This has led to the development of a novel approach, the KM Pyramidal Synergy Innovation Model, which emphasizes the roles of academia, government, military, innovation board, and private sector in driving innovation and entrepreneurship. The model introduces two important concepts: strong leadership, which is led by academia without political influence, and a strong data-proven approach to any project challenges in the roadmap. The KM Pyramidal Synergy Innovation Model aims to create a market push between academia and industry through research funding, incubators and accelerators, joint research and development projects, technology transfer, and networking and events. A supportive policy environment and a culture of collaboration and cooperation are essential to the success of this model. This paper provides an overview of innovation ecosystem models, the challenges faced by innovation ecosystems, and the KM Pyramidal Synergy Innovation Model
