Konzentrationsursachen der europ?ischen Versicherungsm?rkte - eine theoretische und empirische Untersuchung
Untersuchungsziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Ursachen von Konzentrationsver?nderungen - hierunter fallen sowohl Konzentration als auch Dekonzentration - in der europ?ischen Versicherungsbranche zu analysieren. Anhand industrie?konomischer Konzepte wird theoretisch und empirisch erforscht, auf welche der vorgestellten Ursachen die Konzentrationsver?nderung in der europ?ischen Versicherungsbranche zur?ckzuf?hren ist. Die Systematisierung der Konzentrationsursachen wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit an den verschiedenen Gliedern der Kausalkette vorgenommen. Konzentrationsursachen k?nnen hiernach in direkte und indirekte Ursachen differenziert werden. Direkte Konzentrationsursachen wirken sich unmittelbar auf das Konzentrationsniveau aus. Unter die direkten Konzentrationsursachen werden vier Ereignisse subsumiert: Marktzutritt, Marktaustritt, internes Wachstum und Zusammenschlu? von Unternehmen. Indirekte Konzentrationsursachen beeinflussen hingegen die direkten Konzentrationsursachen. Dadurch ?ben sie indirekt einen Einflu? auf das Konzentrationsniveau aus. Indirekte Konzentrationsursachen sind Ver?nderungen wirtschaftlicher und rechtlicher Gegebenheiten. Diese Arbeit fokussiert dabei auf Entwicklungen des Nachfragepotentials und des Nachfrageverhaltens, der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien sowie der gesetzlichen Rahmenbedingungen.
