In July 2024 compared to July 2023, first-sales value increased in Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. In absolute terms the highest increase was observed in the Netherlands, due mainly to shrimp Crangon spp., common sole and red mullet. In 2024, the average monthly household consumption of fresh cod was 87 tonnes in Ireland, 3.247 tonnes in Spain and 31 tonnes in Sweden. Between weeks 34/2021 and 33/2024 prices of frozen fillets of Nile perch from the United Republic of Tanzania fluctuated following an increase and ranged between 3,55 EUR/kg (week 01/2023) and 7,90 EUR/kg (week 17/2022). 60% of weekly prices were between 5,00 EUR/kg and 7,00 EUR/kg.
